Most hotels do not sell anything called a minimoon. Of the 58 UK hotels we have checked, 7 publish a minimoon, honeymoon or romantic package or offer on their own website, and 4 of those mention minimoons or honeymoons by name. Others may still mark the occasion if you tell them when you book.

What to ask about any package
- What is actually included? Bubbles and chocolates are common. Dinner, spa time or a later check-out are worth more.
- How many nights? Some packages are for two nights or more.
- Which room? A package may come with the cheapest room. Ask whether you can add it to a room with a hot tub or a view.
- Is it cheaper than booking the parts separately? Compare the package price with the room rate plus dinner.
- Can it be moved? Check the cancellation terms in case the wedding date changes.
No package? Ask anyway
